Ameram Dirty Water Transfer pumps.

Ameram's range of submersible transfer pumps will handle heavily polluted effluents and light slurries and give outputs from 1200 to 12000 gallons per hour. All are manufactured in either cast iron or cast iron / stainless steel, are fitted with vortex type impellers and feature double mechanical seal assemblies for long life. Pumps are available with various levels of control gear, see pricing on the datapage for details.

AMERAM offer a range of submersible transfer pumps Applications Guide

All pumps are fitted with vortex impellers which give high flows and excellent soft solids handling capability. Use for light homogenous slurries and dirty water containing short vegetable waste, silage, cow hair, tube tops from the parlour, etc. They will not like handling stones, string or long fibrous materials.

Generally the greater the solids the larger the pump should be. For general dirty water transfer from parlour pit, yard run-off sump or strainer box in a slurry lagoon the 2" pump will do, go to a larger pump if more output is required. Where a high degree of larger suspended solids are encountered go for the 3" pumps which wll handle soft solids upto 2" diameter.

Tsurumi 4PU effluent pump For transfering silage effluent and other aggressive effluents choose a unit such as the Tsurumi 4PU in stainless steel / reinforced ABS from the range of Submersible Pumps listed under the General Pumps category.

Whatever package interests you always read the technical specification given on the product datapage to ensure that your requirements for lift and distance are met by the unit and that outputs are adequate. Always have details confirmed when placing your order if at all unsure.

AM 3000 Dirty Water System

Applications guide.

For handling 'clean' settled dirty water from lagoons, three stage tank systems or blind ditches choose the AM-205/505/705 floating pump systems.

Where 'thicker' liquid with slightly more suspended solids from weeping wall stores or single stage collection tanks is to be handled use the AM-3000* or the AMS-10/6 or AMS-10/10 scroll and stator pump based packages.
- Please contact us if you require more information about scroll and stator pumps.

All units are capable of driving static sprinklers or mobile irrigators such as the Briggs Rotorainer models.

Whatever package interests you always read the technical specification given on the product datapage to ensure that your requirements for lift and distance to the irrigator(s) are met by the unit and that outputs are adequate. Always have details confirmed when placing your order if at all unsure.

Where extra pipework and fittings are required see the Pipes and Fittings sections of this site.

Mains Pipe & Fittings

For extension of systems over longer distances we recommend the installation of a buried distribution main with hydrant points or taps at convenient points for the attachment of field pipework. Usually an MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) pipe is used. Delivered in coils and joined with simple compression fittings it allows longer distances to be covered at relatively low cost with the aid of a trenching machine or back hoe attachment.
